Fatehr and Child

Many new dads are often unsure about how to handle their new born child.
Feeling isolated and not connected are also common feelings experienced by first time fathers.  While bonding is commonly perceived as a natural and instinctive process, many dads express feeling unable to bond with their small infant.

On some levels, bonding is natural and takes little effort, however, in today's world of new age thoughts, actively enhancing the bonding process is very fashionable and highly encouraged.  This is by no means a negative as active bonding is a great experience for all involved.

Bonding has four main elements

1. Sight
2. Smell
3.Sound
4. Touch

Ideally when actively trying to bond with baby, the new dad should try to ensure that all four elements of the bonding process are being acknowledged.

An easy and fun way for any parent to bond with their new baby is INFANT MASSAGE

Infant Massage provides the perfect opportunity for dad to bond with baby while also actively assisting in the infants development.

Making time to bond with your child is extremely important. The relationships between infant and father is as equally as important as that of mother and child.  Together they form the foundations for the child's future relationships, not only on global levels but also personal and intimate levels. They way in which father and child bonds also has both physical and emotional effects on the child's development.

...provides the tools and confidence needed

While the role of dad has increased over the last 30 years, and dads are now a much greater part of the pregnancy and the crucial first early weeks, a great number of new dad still feel isolated not only from the infant but also the mother. Bonding between mothers and child can be very obvious, especially in breastfed babies and it is not uncommon for first time dads to feel left out and jealous.

Fathers can find difficulty in knowing what to do with the tiny little human creation they helped to make. They sometimes lack confidence in handling the infant due to size differences. Infant Massage is able to provide dads with the tools and confidence needed to assist not only the bonding process but a whole range of issues.

Infant Massage is so successful in enhancing the bonding process because it is able to utilize the four main elements of bonding and dads are able to be a part of it without mum's presence. Bonding is about developing a closeness through mutual love, respect, and trust. All of which are found in a daily massage which can be given by dad.
